Background

We come from two very different backgrounds. I (Justin) grew up with a loving family, however never had a clear concept of the gospel. On Christmas Eve 2004, God saved me and from that point forward radically changed the pursuits of my heart. Through different experiences in college, I was directly challenged by God's command to "go".

Lindsay had the tremendous privilege of growing up in a Christian home and was presented the gospel at an early age. It was during a youth summer camp that God got a hold of Lindsay's heart for the nations. She, too, was convinced to "go". Shortly thereafter, God allowed for Lindsay to attend Liberty University. It was there that we met and married in 2010.

Training

We attended Liberty University. I graduated in 2010 with a degree in Bible & Missions. Lindsay graduated a year later with a degree in Elementary/Special Education. Prior to pursuing missions full-time I worked in the insurance industry for 4 years and Lindsay worked 2 years in the public school system. These experiences gave us great opportunities to share Christ in the workplace. While working we attended Heritage Baptist Church. God worked it out for us to have the opportunity to begin HBC's Missionary Development Process in 2012.

HBC has a rich history of global ministry and has over 30 missionaries serving in various parts of the world. Through this time of mentorship, accountability, ministry opportunities and assignments we've grown a deeper passion for the ministry God has assigned for us. God has allowed us to come in contact with a fantastic organization in Littleton, CO - WorldVenture.

God has given us the privilege in parenting three wonderful children - Clark (DOB - 12/12/13), Mollie (DOB - 3/19/15) and Barrett "Bear" (DOB - 8/21/17). We look forward to seeing how God will use our children in ministry.

We're now full-time language students while serving with our national church partners, Denen Grace Chapel. We arrived on the field March 2017 and plan to study Japanese and serve at Denen full-time through March 2019. After that point, our focus will be our outreach, discipleship and church planting efforts here in Yokohama.
